Delhi Police say, "A class 6 student was allegedly sexually assaulted after her hands and legs were tied inside a shop in Delhi Sadar Bazar area. The girl had gone out to purchase stationery items when the incident allegedly took place. A case under relevant sections pertaining to rape, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and wrongful confinement was registered at the Women Police Station on the basis of the victim's complaint. The 56-year-old accused, identified as Maksud, was arrested on Friday in connection with the case. Further investigation is underway."

A 16-year-old girl was raped and murdered, allegedly by a group of four youths, in Outer Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar and her body dumped in an open field. Three minors and a 19-year-old man have been apprehended in connection with the case. Police said three of the suspects allegedly raped the girl. The fourth suspect claimed he was not involved in the sexual assault but participated in the murder. Investigators are verifying his claim and examining the individual role of each suspect.

A man allegedly killed his wife and three daughters by repeatedly striking them on the head with a stone at their home in Jaipur’s Kardhani area early Friday, then fled after collecting milk from a deliveryman, police said.

The victims were identified as Geeta Jha and her daughters Nandini, Radhika and Gauri. Their bodies were found at thier house in Govind Vatika after police received information around 10am.

A 22-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her father and brother in the name of “honour” after a video of her with her male friend went viral around three months ago.

A 23-year-old woman from #Bihar, married off to a suitor almost double her age in an alleged Rs 2.6-lakh trafficking deal, died attempting a midnight escape from her husband's home in #MadhyaPradesh's #Ratlam within five days of the July 26 wedding.
