This is exactly what seasoned women have been trying to tell the younger girls. A womanโs logic really starts to come in around 25, and you start seeing the world from a lens you never had before. You realize a lot of the lies and manipulation thrown your way were meant to control you and lock you down. Iโm glad the younger girls are waking up even before then.
@Sheep0_@DiscussingFilm I agree with that too, but also I think he needed to SHOW that Alia was alone before he introduced the possession the third book. It wouldn't have made as much sense if Jessica was still around through all of Messiah, when Alia was coming into herself more and being groomed
@Sheep0_@DiscussingFilm I always thought it was very intentional, Alia had to feel alone and isolated to accept being possessed by the Baron. The jarring disappearance of Jessica for Messiah helped the reader realize the impact
@2024MazdaCX5 I'm really hoping this means they're combining messiah and children of dune. messiah by itself is kind of a bore and is super short but jessicas absence and her return in children of dune happens for a reason
