Not reassuring that there are no confirmed + cases…yet it’s detectable in our wastewater.

I’d feel more comfort knowing the cases were confirmed, not spreading unmitigated.

The message should’ve been to be cautious as it IS spreading not “don’t worry, nothing’s confirmed.

Current infection levels are as bad as when schools last closed in January 2022.

But schools are open, masks aren’t required (or, mostly, worn), ventilation hasn’t been improved, filtration is actively prohibited, and few have been recently vaccinated.

UPDATE: Mask requirements have been reinstated in hospitals in Illinois, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. Hospitals in several other states including North Carolina and Washington are also considering reinstating their mask requirements due to the rise in COVID-19 cases.

Heads up NB! Tons of people from babies to teachers testing positive right now.
In Jan 2022 during peak omicron, people had recent boosters with masks and isolation required. Now 76% of NBers haven’t had a dose in the past year; with no masks or isolation required. It’s bad.
