@pqoqubbw@kevgeny23@kevgeny23 Don’t be too harsh, bro just took 99.99% inspiration… at least he used ChatGPT to generate a new copy for "his concept"...
Designers today....
I used to spend hours writing and designing the perfect proposal.
80% of the time, I’d get ghosted.
One proposal is fine, but after sending dozens of them, it begins to sting.
Then I realized something.
The best clients, the ones I actually enjoyed working with, they never asked for a proposal.
It was one call, a quick conversation, and: “Let’s do it.”
That’s when I made a decision:
No more wasting hours on people who disappear.
I still send proposals out of respect.
But I don’t spend more than 5 minutes on them anymore.
Now, I’ve basically automated my proposal creation process, and it works.
If I’m genuinely excited about a client or project, I'll put effort where it matters:
I'll do things most designers and freelancers skip:
- Research their needs.
- Create a quick moodboard.
- Suggest tools that can be easily integrated to help them achieve their goals.
And guess what? It works.
Because you’re showing them you get it.
You understand their needs and are excited to help.
Even if we don’t end up working together, they thank me for the effort.
No ghosting. Just appreciation.
It’s not just about landing a project.
It’s about building relationships.
And relationships? They open doors.
So next time you’re about to spend hours on a lead, use it wisely.
It’s not about the document.
It’s about showing genuine interest and creating a connection.
@DannPetty 1. Share general costs (filter out clients who can’t afford you).
2. Always available (@DannPetty rule).
3. Ask for a same-day meeting (catch them at peak interest)
4. Jump on a call and ask questions (curiosity = connection).
5. Build trust and win the job.
@hunterhammonds This is literally one of the best portfolio websites I've seen in a long time! Even though it's a single-screen portfolio, everything is super organized.
Great job! 👏
New AI tool, RIP designers?
With these tools, designers won’t exist in the future!
.
.
This is the kind of BS we’re seeing every day on X & LinkedIn.
Is that true?
Hell no.
Designers will never RIP.
Human creativity will never RIP.
I use AI every day, for everything.
I do illustrations.
I do code.
I do copywriting.
I do everything.
But I only do enough to test my idea and create an MVP for whatever I come up with.
Does that mean programmers and illustrators will disappear?
Nope.
If what I create works, and it finds its own audience, I’ll still need to pay these experts to do proper work.
And I will pay.
Others will pay too.
Use AI to your advantage to make YOUR life better.
Don’t be afraid it will replace you.
A factory-made leather wallet? $49.
A handcrafted leather wallet, shaped by human hands? $499.
The human creativity will always matter.
.
.
Stay tuned for upcoming posts where I’ll share how I ACTUALLY use AI every day — in my processes, projects, and overall freelance business.
Love,
Steph
@BorisWick Third day on how I use it.
- First, I love the responses; they’re much smarter, much more human-written, with simple terms that I love.
A big downside for me is that even with a Pro membership, I am very limited in the number of messages I can use. I don’t think their limitations will meet my needs, as I really use AI all the time.
So I’ll definitely keep both subscriptions and use Claude more for writing, while ChatGPT will handle everything else (coding, solving complex tasks, etc.).

Just been playing around with the loading screen for our new website. 👀
I got few comments that our vibe is maybe too playful, and that we might come off as jokers instead of professionals.
My thoughts, if someone can't handle a bit of fun and decides to judge our work based on our vibes... well, screw 'em, they probably wouldn't be a good fit anyway.
Don't pretend, just be yourself.. ✌️
