@TheHook2100@SavLovesSwift She is so sensitive to psych meds, hence the concern. I’ll bring up propranolol at her next appointment, she was on it previously for migraines and she was indeed not having panic attacks at that time.
@gentiletrades My go to meal for postpartum families was marinated grilled chicken, white rice, and roasted broccoli/carrots. All hot and ready to eat, drop off at dinner time (of the parents requested time), in disposable containers with paper plates and plastic cutlery.
@ax3i0hm I am 1SD gifted and my daughter is 2SD gifted (starting grade 11, just turned 15). 1SD is a blessing! 2SD- it’s a mixed bag, these kids are profoundly different than even their “gifted” peers. They are our very highest potential individuals, they should get individualized support
@BeTraumaFree What kind of therapy is good for this? I have a loved one who can’t even do breath work, really struggling to get into her body and stay out of her head, and we’ve been through multiple therapists who haven’t helped a thing.
@MattWalshBlog Babies and toddlers, it’s just work and you can control nearly every input- easy. Teens, it’s tons of emotional labor and you are no longer dictating every aspect of their lives (hopefully). Little kids- little problems. Big kids- if there are problems, they can be BIG.
@allie__voss Family of 6 we go thru at least 1 stick a day, so we just leave it on the counter and tons of back up in the fridge. It’s a revelation! My kids are snobs now and get all weird if they have to use cold butter at grandmas house. The horror!
@Not_the_Bee My daughter contracted it in the mountains of San Diego county. Misdiagnosed for 5 years because every doctor told me “there’s no Lyme in San Diego”. Immediately diagnosed when we moved to the south. She’s 15 now and still dealing with chronic Lyme and PANS. It’s devastating.
@DawnsMission They are delightful but LOUD. Not suitable for an area with neighbors. We love ours so much. Results comparable to a professional company coming out and spraying for ticks. As in, they get about 90% of them. But there is poop everywhere!
@pnwguerrilla My daughter has it, 7 years now, first 5 years misdiagnosed. Age 7-14, half her childhood now, with severe chronic neurological symptoms that wax and wane, and never fully resolve. People have no clue what this is like, I’m grateful for those who bravely share their stories.
@ImmunoFever My daughter has chronic Lyme and PANS, she also got sick at age 7 and is now 14. She is exceptional in every way, beyond brilliant, musically gifted, ambitious, kind, but so much has been stolen from her. You are fighting for her and so many others! Thank you!!
@socrdoc Took 7 years after a clear Lyme bullseye rash and cascading severe health deterioration in my then 7 now 15 year old to be diagnosed with Lyme, and couple more to get to Lyme induced PANS, and now slowly- very slowly- improving health. Experience was exactly as you described.
@moultano That’s why we have 4 kids. All slept through the night starting 1-2 months old, even my colic kid. She’d scream all day, sleep 10pm-6am then wake up screaming and scream all day again. I could have babies forever! Should have had more!
@TiffaniMarie483 Focus less on getting them academically way ahead as young children and help them find challenge in other ways- music, sports, art, hobbies. It will help them find common ground with other kids their age even when their intellect is far ahead.
@TiffaniMarie483 Whatever school offers the most extracurricular enrichment is the better option. This is often public schools once they are in high school. Academics will likely NEVER be hard enough, it doesn’t matter public vs private. It’s extracurriculars you are after.
@TiffaniMarie483 For elementary and middle, homeschooling is better for academics for obvious reasons, but you need to have a strong focus on providing AMPLE social time. This was the most challenging aspect of homeschooling, the community is… largely not academic and peers were hard to find.
@MrSausageGet Been saying that for years. All roads lead to it. All clues hint at it. All decisions point to it. It being a massive depopulation event.
