Nearly 30 years after Tupac Shakur was fatally shot in Las Vegas, a jury has reached a historic verdict in his murder case.
Duane “Keffe D” Davis has been found guilty of first-degree murder in connection with the 1996 killing of the 25-year-old hip-hop icon. Prosecutors did not accuse Davis of firing the fatal shots, but argued that he orchestrated the attack and provided the weapon used in the shooting. Davis was the only person ever charged in Tupac’s murder.
The verdict marks a major development in a case that has remained one of the most infamous and closely followed mysteries in hip-hop history.
