A game I feel doesn't get much recognition nowadays is Dungeons of Dredmor.
Released in 2010, it managed to present old-school roguelikes in a super friendly and accessible way, while keeping a ton of depth & challenge. Without it I would've probably never tried ToME and DCSS :)
It’s almost as if all the tech bros were Dunning-Kruger dumbos who convinced themselves that learning one specialized niche skill (coding) meant they were omni- geniuses in all other domains.
public opinion of AI is so negative they now have to rely on laundering video games' prestige and gamers as a way forward. the community routinely maligned in mainstream media as the cause for mass shooting rampages and violent extremism still has a better reputation than LLMs
