What Makes a DeFi Strategy Actually Sustainable? 🧱
If you’ve spent even a little time in DeFi, you’ve probably seen the same story.
A new project launches.
APY looks very high.
Everyone jumps in.
Then yield drops, liquidity leaves, and people move on.

I’ve chased those too.
But after a while, one question matters more:
what actually lasts?

For me, a sustainable strategy isn’t about the biggest number.
It’s about something that keeps working over time.
• consistent returns
• not fully dependent on incentives
• works across different market conditions

Not all yield is equal.
Some comes from real activity:
• trading fees
• lending
• arbitrage
Some comes from incentives.
Incentives boost APY fast, but they don’t last.

Environment matters too.
• liquidity
• user activity
• volatility
Some strategies only work in perfect conditions.
Others adapt and survive.

Then comes cost.
This part is often ignored:
• fees
• rebalancing
• slippage
So real return = what’s left after all costs.

Over time I realized:
Good strategies are built, not chased.
• diversified
• monitored
• adjusted
• focused on net returns

That’s where things change.

That’s also why stands out.
Vaults help by:
• allocating capital
• adjusting strategies
• rebalancing positions

Less guessing. More structure.

Something like a USDT vault with ~8% yield may look simple.
But consistency often beats hype over time.

Feels like DeFi is shifting:
From chasing → to building
From hype → to sustainability

Because in the end:
It’s not about the highest APY for a week.
It’s about what survives the full cycle.
