@agilecoach @PaddyDaley @jocrossick @dan_abramov It happens in many languages. Voiceless phonemes become voiced between two vowels. And voiced phonemes become voiceless at the end. Happens it English as well.

That's how and is pronounced when in the middle of a phrase.
"and" has two pronunciations in (American) english *Ant/unt"when its emphazied (the beginning of a phrase) and "n" otherwise
