They said nobody would use it. They said it wouldn’t work.
Today WatchTower is helping thousands of Australians stay informed about what’s happening around them.
Here’s our story on national TV. We’re only getting started. 👇

We hit 12,000 users on our community safety app. Any guesses what state and suburbs have the most users ?

@DonaldS61870 Genuinely good questions. It's not a live feed — reports are community-submitted after an incident, so it can't tell anyone if they're being watched right now. Personal details are auto-filtered out, and it's about public safety incidents, not recording individuals.

I’m starting this account from scratch to see how many Australians we can bring together to help make our communities safer.
I’m the founder of WatchTower, a community-powered safety app that’s already helping thousands of Australians stay informed about crime, emergencies and suspicious activity.
If you’re reading this, become one of the first people to follow the journey.
Let’s build something Australia has never seen before. 🇦🇺
@erinballs2 Honestly? Please do, and post what you find. Standard HTTPS to our API, plus Firebase / Google Maps / RevenueCat. All encrypted, all exactly what you'd expect. I'd rather be checked than asked to be trusted.
@ERN_Malleyscrub@nswpolice@AusFedPolice Fair question, and healthy skepticism. I'm the founder, building WatchTower in public from day one. It's a community safety app — you don't hand personal info to strangers, and I'm happy to answer anything openly. Scrutiny welcome.
