@tvaziri I think you could argue that if 48 was the original format, and we made films for 100 years in that format, we would say films made at 24 today "leave out the window of realism that the smoothness of 48 brings".

Movies are dreamlike and abstract—an interpretation of the world. 24 frames per second allows/forces the audience to fill in the temporal blanks with their imagination.

High frame rate video content becomes a “window to the world” mimicking how your eyes see reality.

@tvaziri I understand- I'm giving additional context to those who think that 24fps was a purposeful artistic decision. At some point I think we all just decided that this is what we agree looks best for narrative film even if originally, it was a technical, almost arbitrary reason.
