American politics were pretty fundamentally broken by no one understanding that 1950s manufacturing prosperity was “the only industrial power that wasn’t just bombed to oblivion” prosperity, which cannot return
as someone who has lived in cities, farmland, suburbs and everything in-between, I will never understand why Anyone would choose suburbs when all of the other options exist. It’s like the worst of both worlds
