The play I always reference in Little League is a play at first. Throw's in the dirt so you're not going to get the out. If you keep it in front, the kid stays at first. If it gets by, the kid goes to second. In the latter, two ground outs score a run.

@JimORourkeESQ I preach this stuff to kids when I coach Little League level baseball (which is all I'm barely qualified for). The Torres play is the exact type of play I reference. You let a guy move up like that and the other team can beat you without getting a hit.
