@woodwarddotCA Yeah, I texted the number I had for you but it's maybe no longer your number. I'm currently in Van (at their central library). I'll be back in Edmonton briefly on Saturday if you were free at all
I've been mostly gone from this platform these days, I have fewer good tabs to read to but I also hear E*lon M*sk's name less often so it's a toss up. I'll likely stay gone. I just came back to tell @woodwarddotCA that I was wrong about the Edmonton Public Library and I'm sorry
@NeeedlesEye Related fun fact: when Chretien, at that point Trudeau per's Minister for Indian Affairs, was working on the white paper he was assisted by none other than John A MacDonald (no relation)
@chloebrown4TO I'm part of a project highlighting the climate priorities of mayoral candidates. A CBC article says "(Brown) would reorganize city hall departments to better share resources and revenues to reach climate goals more efficiently" What does that look like in practice?

@FriedrichHayek @prosediva @WanjiruNjoya 'Fools, frauds and firebrands' doesn't strike me as the title of a thoughtful and nuanced analysis of the new lefts ideas

I'm going through a *really* rough time. If anyone is able to help ease the burden of rent etc. no matter how small, it would be massively appreciated, mîkwêc ❤️🩹 https://t.co/QWbRFOlWyX
@michaelcwheeler "Could" is the operative word. There is a world in which a liberation minded coalition pushes for republic and takes on the obligations (or even restarts the treaty process w better intentions). There's another world were the opposite of that occurs. The latter feels more likely
@michaelcwheeler One peculiar challenge to that in Canada is that all of the treaties are made with the crown so to remove them as head of state we would need to be prepared to renegotiate (or negotiate for the first time) continued settler occupation of this land
I still remember getting the infamous, 'Can you complete the order?' text from dispatch after I caught a streetcar track and was thrown off my bike. Couriers are numbers to these companies not human beings
I wrote about a new report on delivery drivers in DC, which finds workers delivering food even after getting hit by a car, spending half the workday in largely unpaid waiting, and regularly experiencing underpayment, harassment, and assault. https://t.co/t3UZE5HUPj
