Early today, as I went to collect Prof. Ndetei Meritorious Award, the good Prof. narrated to me his internship experience in Mombasa.
He mentioned at one point he fell down and fainted due to exhaustion. He went on to tell me how internship period is very critical for every healthcare worker.
But at least, the pay was commensurate with the work.
Fast forward, interns are saying NO to slavery.

The only thing that will end the #DoctorsStrikeKE is a MUTUALLY signed RTWF that VOWS to #ImplementCBA2017 in its entirety,
including to #PostMedicalInterns as per CBA.
The only ONE who will tell the doctors to go back, is the KMPDU SG. Fullstop.
All else ni moto ya makaratasi.
The God chosen government doesn't care that there is a cholera out break and doctors are not at the hospital.
For as long as it's not affecting them

Medical interns account for 30% of the Kenya's health workforce hence bridging the acute shortage of HCWs. Medical interns deserve commensurate remuneration as per #ImplementCBA2017#NoCBANoInternship#DoctorsStrikeKE
CBAs are more than just contracts; they're the backbone of fair labour practices. Let the doctors honour there and so should the governme #NoCBANoInternship#ImplementCBA2017
Even as RTWF negotiations are ongoing we hold the promise of competence, integrity, candor, commitment, compassion, discretion, and confidentiality within the law to Kenyans in the highest regard. And so does the gov!
