@samanth_s I understand you're not asking for difficult individual VFS experiences from the applicants side, they are legion, but if interested, I had the most difficult experience I have ever had in 20 years of applying for Schengen visas, directly at the Belgian consulate in New York.

@samanth_s The VFS and the Schengen countries have a obvious profit-generating interest in keeping this visa regime alive. Even a 20-30 year travel record with no violations makes no difference to the credibility of the applicant.

@samanth_s They asked for a letter from my employer approving remote work beyond the dates that I was traveling in Europe. They also asked for my American companion's pay stubs and letter from employer. Absolute overreach as Americans do not need short term visas. Total racist nightmare.

@samanth_s They made me return 3 times with more attestations and paperwork, I finally submitted a breakdown in hours of how much time I would spend in Belgium and Switzerland showing I would be longer in Belgium.

The NYS WARN Act was passed in Feb 2009. Companies with over 50 employees must give 90 days notice if laying off more than 25 people or 1/3rd of the workforce. Do you know of mass layoffs in architecture post-2009 that gave any warning? @arch_workers_u @Arch_Lobby
