Starting to prepare the wood for the little one's crib today.

Sorry for the silence, I had to go into town to get some larger tools and supplies for this project!

@postcanonviktor Jayce raises a brow in feigned shock, “oh? Well I was tired drawing these up… any suggestions?”

The smile he gives Viktor, likely gave away his plot if the comically small legs hadn’t already. For a genius, he could be rather silly when it came to loving Viktor.

Jayce is sitting at their desk, sketching out the blueprints for a crib. This isn't something that he expected and he hopes that he can get Viktor on board with some of the planning.

He purposefully makes a few mistakes that Viktor would notice, he hopes to pique his interest.

@postcanonviktor “I’ll show you the schematics,” Jayce gets up, “see if there’s anything you wanted to add to it.”

He’s quick but quiet as he leaves and returns with a notebook. Scooting closer, he holds the book open to Viktor.

@postcanonviktor “Ah, I must have missed it.”

Jayce’s grin widens when Viktor agrees, then he has to stifle his laughter.

“Well… partially but also.. I want it to grow with her. That one lacks hatches and modifications, the one I’ve written up won’t.”

@postcanonviktor “Oh sorry,” Jayce lowers his voice as Viktor calms her, he’s picked up on doing so rather quickly.

Much faster than his own awkward fumbling.

“Unenthused? Maybe while she’s pooping…”

@postcanonviktor “I’ve made some blueprints for a crib if you want to take a look over?”

Jayce laughs, “Me?!”

He pulls up a chair, “do you see that nose? The moles?”

@postcanonviktor “Ah, true but she’s rarely awake when I’m asleep,” he smiles.

“We’ve made some impressive inventions, magic and all… I’m not surprised we made something so beautiful.”

@postcanonviktor Jayce walks over and gives Viktor a gentle kiss on the lips, his hand on his shoulder as he looks down to the baby.

“Don’t make her think too highly of me or she’ll be crushed when she learns I snore.”

@postcanonviktor “Am I?” Jayce asks, he keeps his voice gentle to not wake her, “if I recall, you were the one who fixed my issues.”

He knows it’s not easy for Viktor to be with her. But seeing him hold her and rock her, makes Jayce feel immensely happy.

@postcanonviktor Jayce watches from the doorway with a smile, he's tempted to take a photo but prefers to soak it in first.

Viktor is telling her about how they met and a few of the projects that they worked on together, it makes his heart melt.

We’ve started “tummy time” with our daughter, she’s not very good at it yet but she’s determined to be.

No we haven’t, everyone loves to refer to her as a little bug which is cute.

I want to wait until Viktor is ready to talk about a name…

But she does remind me of moonlight, her hair and the arcane markings on her.
