On April 24 and 25, the #exhibition “#Extractivism & #Resistance in the #Ecuadorian #Andes and Beyond” in #Marburg offered visitors insights into global commodity supply chains, tracing them all the way to a community in northern Ecuador.

The Think Lab featured an input by Dr. Jannis Julien Grimm, on the topic “Trial by Fire - Gaza as a Stress Test for Academic Integrity”, which encouraged participants to reflect on questions of academic integrity and the reproduction of power hierarchies within academia.

On 20 May 2026, the #research #network #Postcolonial #Hierarchies in #Peace and #Conflict held its first #Virtual #Think #Lab of the second funding phase.

The policy workshop examines how different forms of resistance can counter processes of autocratisation. It focuses on artistic, journalistic, academic, and legal perspectives on practices of resistance under conditions of shrinking civic space.
