Thank you to all the delegates, organisers and patients and their families for an enjoyable and illuminating couple of days at the @posteriorfossa meeting in Memphis @StJudeResearch. Lots of progress made, but a long way to go yet! See you in Copenhagen 2026
It was an honor to be one of the organizers of the 2nd Global meeting of the @posteriorfossa. It was a real eye-opener about posterior fossa syndrome aka cerebellar mutism syndrome, even though we take care of so many patients with posterior fossa syndrome @StJudeResearch. Hearing directly from patients and their families gave me a whole new perspective.
Curious to know, how many of you @The_ASPNR, @TheASNR@ESNRad@RSNA think that the incidence of this post surgical complications can be reduced significantly?
The Posterior Fossa Society meeting has just started! Don’t miss my presentation on “The Posterior Fossa Experience at @StJudeResearch and the Value of a Clinical Trial” tomorrow at 8:15am.

@SickKidsNews@posteriorfossa The presence of mutism, the maximal acute manifestation of CCAS, after cerebellar tumor surgery / radiation has greater negative impact on cognition than alteration in radiation protocols. Dr Don Mabbott, Toronto SickKids, 1st PFS Global Liverpool

A truly excellent international meeting. Exciting new insights into the cause, phenomenology, and potential approaches to treatment of cerebellar mutism and the cerebellar cognitive affective syndrome following tumor resection in children.
Great to see worldwide members, colleagues and friends tuning in to the Posterior Fossa Society meeting. Lots of cutting edge work on understanding cerebellar mutism syndrome. More to come tomorrow!
@silvatoyota1504 Hi Daniel, very sorry to hear about your son. Not that we are aware at the mo - although rehabilitation is a key area of research for us!
