@Bekkhilde This case has been totally misrepresented by the developer in order to avoid other obligations. Two evaluations showed there were burials on the site, yet they carried on with the development. This puts archaeology in the planning process in a bad light.

@Phil_M_Barrett The locals would like to search the area north of Ravenglass for the Roman road and possible Cumberland coast defences. Can you oblige with a Lidar view?

@Phil_M_Barrett The road is fairly clear towards Hardknott, but these Lidar images have neatly filled the gap towards Ravenglass.

@Phil_M_Barrett We found evidence of landscaping to form the gardens immediately around the castle. There are some features worth checking out though, both at the castle and towards the fort; plus, this evidence extends the line of the road to Hardknott. How about the area to the north?

@Phil_M_Barrett Broadening the research a little, can you produce an image immediately to the north? Perhaps the road north branches off the Hardknott road. Also around Muncaster Castle to the east, long thought to be a Roman fort...

@bbc5live if the offside rule was changed so that the attacker had to be entirely goalside of the defender, VAR could be used more fairly to check that.

@Phil_M_Barrett @dwelsworth Thanks @Phil_M_Barrett , lots to digest here! The Hardknott road is centre to top right. We found it in 2013-14, Lidar shows it extending further north-east. Road south apparently leaves east gate and turns SE and S to avoid a steep ravine immediately S of fort.
