@LenovoSupport Any new advisories against Lenovo Vantage app bricking ThinkStations & ThinkPads? It forced a new BIOS update but after, none will boot anymore. On 3 random PCs so far and we're rushing to remove Vantage before it does more damage.

@Blizzard_Ent One day you will come to the realization that you've been rewarding prospective customers NOT to play your games. E.g. Overwatch Twitch rewards must be watched for 8-12 hours to receive. Which means they must watch Twitch all day, rather than playing your games.

I suppose one simple way to determine if municipal speeding cameras were cash grabs or not is if cities now add cameras to new locations outside the scope of the ban. For example, a spike in red light cameras means it really was a cash grab.

@McDonaldsCanada Monopoly finished weeks ago. I see that like 70% of the low value prizes were won, but only 0-20% of the high value prizes were won. Very #McSus don't you think?

I haven't watched Gen Z S2, but based on a few YT clips I assume the burned-guy is actually "Cipher" who controls a human avatar. Senses are dulled, no taste explains smoothies. Can't feel anything but intense pain, can control >1 human, can't control supes long, etc.

I love that saying and have used it for a couple decades. But I typically expand it a bit and say "When the seas are stormy, ships will sail into any port."

It helps you emphasize "stormy" & "port" figuratively to something, or use hand gestures too.

Both @TurboSquid & @CG_Trader having major portal & account issues. Can't login, can't reset passwords, can't change email, tokens expiring immediately, transactions being declined. Huge mess and unusable for a few days now. For all my colleagues too. But no announcements?

I think Dad2 is fully aware that his real son is gone, but he's such a loving father now that he won't overreact. The diverging point in this reality could be that young Chris was nearly killed fighting his brother, but he survived. Dad2 changed his life around as a result.

The door access control panel in #Peacemaker S2 would obviously be part of the home security system, so there'd be no way that Dad2 isn't fully aware of the sudden unusual traffic back and forth and the alt reality. Plus all of the CCTV cameras everywhere inside.

Need a rearview mirror + built in mobile internet hub for travel devices, but they apparently don't exist. Only for dashcams so I need to build myself. But the modular vacuum + suction tech takes priority. Too much to do and no time.

Massive price fluctuations on Amazon electronics, like 50-200% price jumps. There must be some Amazon Prime Day-like sale coming up where they gouge prices and pretend that they're on sale. I don't use Amazon much, but this pattern is easily recognized.

My previous employer used to assign "Professional" status to employees so that they didn't have to pay overtime, even though their job was actually unrelated.

Common HR Tactic: If they used a computer for work, then they're an "IT Professional" and exempt under the ESA.

Yay, it was the LABOUR DAY LONG WEEKEND, so I LONG LABOURED ALL WEEKEND!

Status quo for past couple decades. All volunteer hours (Sat 12h, Sun 12h & Mon 8h). In Canada, "IT Professionals" are exempt from overtime pay. Thanks MOL!

Getting info for Ottawa Beechwood Cemetery was an odd experience. Website had a Shopping Cart on the landing page. Due to paid events, Google made like a "Tickets & Rides" section for them. The idea of cemetery "Reviews" was wildly inappropriate, but it's normalized now.
