BREAKING: Taiwan has passed a major law that could pave the way for Starlink to enter the country 🇹🇼
Taiwan’s Legislative Yuan approved amendments to the Telecommunications Management Act today. The bill will now go to President Lai Ching-te for signing and promulgation.
• Eases foreign ownership restrictions for satellite operators
• Removes the requirement for a Taiwanese chairperson in approved cases
• Aims to strengthen communications during disasters, emergencies or submarine cable disruptions
The law is widely seen as removing one of the biggest regulatory barriers for Starlink.
@SawyerMerritt@Starlink Delta's CEO is a woke, leftist, ideolog who, therefore, hates Elon. There was no way he was going with Starlink, and the decision had nothing to do with Delta or its passengers.
@RealJamesWoods The question is did they break our laws by illegally getting in this country. The answer is very obvious, they did, so they should face the consequences
