I've only every participated in the pronoun ritual once, which was when I was prompted to do so in court when I was representing a client. I said "masculine pronouns". I was looked at quizzically like I was speaking another language, when really I was just declining to participate in the mimetic normalization of the moronic triplet that everyone else was doing.
@wesyang Been listening to their catalogue steadily since posting this. The Life Pursuit deserves more love (White Collar Boy is a standout track). Iโd also add Iโm a Cuckoo to my list.
Seeing them live in Seattle on June 13. Looking forward to it.
Seeing the.
Thank for this, Aaron.
I too am prepared to go to jail over this. I spent years reviewing the primary records of all of the residential schools in BC and Alberta, including St. Mary's. I'm a lawyer now, and like you an alumnus of Allard Hall. I'll be damned if our legislators ever criminalize our search for the truth of what went on in those schools.
I'd appreciate a follow so that I can dm you directly.
@timthielmann Itโs because progressives have made every โoppressedโ identity group sacred. When you make something sacred, myth can be more powerful than truth in the pursuit of justice.
KLF was number 2 for me. I think Elliott took all the right positions, plus I think she would have performed better in the cities and on the island. She spoke to women in my wife's demographic - urban 40s and 50s professionals who can't stomach the NPD, but who never thought of themselves as "conservative". Ultimately, I thought Elliott had a higher ceiling.
That said, I'm happy with KLF. She's a fighter, and that's what BC needs.
@finseraste In an alternate universe the people would have looked at the destabilizing effects of perpetual low interest rates, quantitative easing, climate change doomsdayism, identity politics, and untrammelled immigration, and forcibly exiled our current PM to life in the tundra.
