@Noahpinion And I mean it’s a bad metric in that I’ve seen this advice repeated by people on that alternative network many times and I know people are doing it.
@Noahpinion Deleting an account is a bad metric. The common advice given is not to delete your account because scamers/spammers will jump in and grab your handle. I’ve effectively left… at this point I only use twitter to catch up on a few lists that I’ve made that haven’t migrated yet.
Was Trump “censored”? I thought he had been removed because he refused to follow the rules everyone else has to follow. Is that now “censorship”? #CallingGeorgeO
@willhains The copy/paste that they came up with for iPhone was great at the time when there was nothing else but many years later it’s still slow and clunky.
@willhains I know modes suck UX-wise but I really wish there was a way to put it into a mode where the touch gestures select rather than scroll and move
My friends @BIJwebportal, @hirokii and I have been sharing ‘uncommon knowledge about starting up in Japan’ since March 2021. We chose originally Clubhouse’s drop-in audio format because it was unrehearsed, unedited and easy to join!
Here are 3 things we learned…
@garrytan You can’t root out the swindlers if you’re also going around calling people who are skeptical FUD-spreading haters. He’s calling on people to be more alert and ostracizing the people who were in the same thread.
@garrytan I find this thread to be lacking self-awareness. More afraid of bitcoin “haters” being empowered by this blow up than the grifters who remain. The skeptics were the ones who were right about SBF… maybe they deserve to be listened to now.
@triketora He claims to be experimenting and says Twitter will make many mistakes and keep what works… but he’s stepping on every possible rake and at this point it’s impossible to not realize this strategy sucks. Just totally obvious mistakes you can see from a long way off.
Think I figured out New York. Republicans commissioned a slew of fake polls claiming Governor race was tied, which motivated Republican voters to turn out for Zeldin, who wasn’t going to win anyway, but it helped Republicans pick off a couple tight House races. Should be illegal.
