Though this was filmed almost a decade ago, tens of thousands of people are still forced by no fault of their own to live in such conditions. It's not incidental but purposeful. The cruelty is baked into the system. And these are the people who will be pushed towards euthanasia.
i still think the worst spreaders of covid & covid disinformation are healthcare workers. unlike many laypeople, most of them can't use illiteracy as an excuse for treating it like a bad cold. it's literally your job to have an accurate basic understanding
remember when not only you would get a disc but you’d also get a case with meaningful cover art along with a manual that taught you how to play (and often included fun additional lore tidbits) and hell sometimes they’d even throw in a poster for free just for fun
Gamers hate when anybody talks about real politics but capitalism is working the exact way it was designed and is going to price you out of gaming. You will own nothing. You will not be able to afford even borrowing the license. The companies making games are literally dying.
People talk so much shit about how I mask my kid, but personally, I'm way happier putting my kid in the type of mask we wear, as opposed to the type this other person's kid wears, & if you want to talk about which seems more "forced", I'm more than happy to stand with my choices.
This is not talked about enough and it’s an unfortunately incredibly predatory industry. It cost me $850 to get my dad’s ashes back for a basic cremation. They handed me him in a cardboard box & then tried to upsell me a $200 urn with the American flag on it while I was in tears.
Seven years into the pandemic. My mom has dementia. My dad is dead. So many people are sick. As a chronically ill person, I'm trying to protect my baseline. They all keep insisting that not wanting to contract this virus again and again makes me a bad person. What is the point?
Basically i love how every study shows that students do better with less homework and workers perform better with more vacation days and shorter shifts, yet we do the exact opposite because of outdated, guilt-driven “work is suffering” values and toxic hustle culture.
I think more autistic people REALLY need to be aware that allistics know exactly what they are doing when they push you into having a meltdown
They are doing it intentionally to make you look like the problem and reinforce a power structure where they get it and you lose it
In Texas if you protest against the illegal kidnappings of your neighbors, you’ll get sentenced to 50 years in prison because the judge wants to “send a message to anyone who shares a similar ideology.”
Egregious.
Now 52% of young adults live with their parents, the highest rate ever, surpassing even the Great Depression. The most-educated and most in debt generation in history did everything they were supposed to and got this.
The system. Does. Not. Work
can't get over how pathetic the anti-WFH agitprop is. Serious professionals pretending like your mental health is in jeopardy from not going to the office is ironically and legitimately unwell behavior. They want you to suffer for their inability to act like a real human being
People vehemently believe that there are safety nets in place if you become disabled. That no matter what, you have all your needs met. If you believe this, you’re in for a rude awakening if you ever become disabled.
Wish non-cc folks would see this and realize there are no magic pills if you get long covid. We’re 7 years in and all we’ve got is cognitive therapy, crossed fingers, and a healthcare industry that gives zero fucks about you.
While we're here, let's talk about how insane and backwards it is that the woman who was pulled over has her full name in this headline but the officer in the wrong isn't named. Just "the officer." Okay!
