I've decided to log off Elon's wild ride. I wasn't using it actively but it will suck to lose my timeline. I just don't want to even be a passive part of whatever the hell he's doing over there.

It does, remarkably, fit. Now to pull it all out again to finish the welding and paint everything I can get access to.
Saturday was 1 year to the day that my family and I moved to Maine, never having visited the state before. It has been a great success and we love it here. Here's some random pictures of stuff I did over the last year:

@cheeseplus The thing that annoyed me was the *appearance* of agency, but then being forced down a path irregardless. The other "choice", at the very end of the game, ends up being more or less meaningless. I think it would have been better to just avoid pretending you can choose.
@tsantero VB (and also Visual Basic, apparently) still considered harmful, I guess.
It's pretty telling they think its cool to filter people based on what technology their previous job probably TOLD them to use.
@cheeseplus In NY they used to mark something as delivered at 9pm and then sneak back at 6am to actually deliver it. I assume they couldn't complete their route on time and needed an escape hatch. Most people would not call until the next day at which point it would have magically arrived.
@tweets_so_fresh The newer ARM-based Arduinos are a lot less frustrating than the very dated 8-bit AVR ones IMO. If you want WiFi you might want to look at the ESP8266 stuff.
