“One day, we will have two big buildings in Abuja where we will put pictures of people—whether dead or alive—who have messed up this country so that their grandchildren will know their forefathers were part of Nigeria’s problems,”
~ Goodluck Jonathan says
Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has called on President Bola Tinubu to resign over what he described as a “monumental failure in governance", citing worsening economic hardship, insecurity, and declining living conditions across the country.
Obi made the call in a statement posted on his X handle on Monday after reflecting on the resignation announcement by the British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, which he said underscored the importance of accountability in public office.

MAN ON FIRE 🔥
On the day I was declared Governor, my company, NEXT International UK received an overdraft of over $7m dollars from Lloyds Bank and I had over 200 containers on the sea. I phoned my wife who was my deputy in the company and told her to take charge and resigned from 11 other companies I was CEO and chairman of including banks.
In 1987, American Express introduced platinum card for 5000 people in the world, here is mine, they later introduced the Black card (Centurion card) in 1999 for 1000 people on the planet, here is mine. I had a viable business and while I don't regret going into Politics, but the fact is that, politics made me poorer.

Owning Up to Leadership Failures and Political Responsibility
This morning, I listened to the British Prime Minister’s speech announcing his planned resignation in July. As a keen observer of global politics, my primary interest lies in examining what successful nations do right and the structural factors that cause others to lag or struggle with governance and development.
The Prime Minister’s planned resignation comes amid mounting public frustration over a stagnant economy, a worsening cost-of-living crisis, and a perceived failure to honour key campaign pledges.
Looking inward in our dear country, we can recall our own situation. Before 2015, our President on several occasions championed the call for the then President Goodluck Jonathan to resign over economic hardship and insecurity affecting Nigerians. During the Chibok school kidnapping incident, he demanded the immediate resignation of President Jonathan, arguing that the government had failed in its most fundamental duty of protecting lives.
During the 2023 election campaign, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made several promises, including improved electricity supply. He also challenged the electorate not to vote for him for a second term if he failed to deliver on those commitments—particularly in providing stable power, fighting corruption, and improving the welfare of Nigerians.
At present, however, these conditions have worsened. Electricity supply remains unreliable, insecurity has intensified in many areas, including kidnappings, and economic hardship has deepened rather than eased. Similar concerns are reflected across other critical sectors such as security, infrastructure, transportation, and anti-corruption efforts, all of which have regressed. We are in the worst possible condition.
I, therefore, join Nigerians of goodwill in calling for the resignation of the President over monumental failure in governance. Such a gesture would help enthrone a political culture rooted in accountability and responsibility, rather than further entrenching impunity. It would also send a powerful message that public office is a sacred trust, not an entitlement, and help build a society in which future leaders understand that failure carries consequences. Only by ending the culture of impunity can we secure a better future for the society our children will inherit in a New Nigeria that is possible. -PO
“The issue of taking Kenneth Okonkwo to court wouldn’t have arisen if he had stopped at those allegations. But he claimed he still has more he would expose about me in the future.
So I am very happy to take him to court so that he can expose me publicly, alongside other Nigerians. If any of them has any crim!nal allegations against me, they should bring it to court.”
— NDC presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi.

GM Guys, come and be party of this history and see how NRI is being positioned to become one of the most ambitious meme-driven ecosystems ever created.
Nine days ago, we celebrated a transformative milestone with the successful deployment of the world's inaugural Dream Ledger on-chain, marking the execution of the very first transaction on the Nucleus Core Chain (NCC). This was a pivotal moment that realigned our trajectory with our core vision.
Today, I am thrilled to announce the next phase of our ecosystem evolution: the Nucleus Reactor Initiative (NRI).
NRI represents more than a meme; it is a bold strategic experiment designed to redefine the potential of a community-driven meme ecosystem. Upon launch, NRI will become the first meme initiative to execute a planned migration to the Nucleus Core Chain following the launch of Open Mainnet.
The official NRI launch is scheduled for July 24, 2026.
With growing interest from strategic partners and key Nucleus stakeholders, NRI is being positioned to become one of the most ambitious meme-driven ecosystems ever created. This is the beginning of a new chapter for the Nucleus community.
Read the NRI Whitepaper and discover the vision behind the initiative.
The Reactor is almost live.
