@DegenRamblers@Fat_Electrician Some newer data centers use glycol in closed cooling loops. Heat exchangers cool the glycol without mixing the fluids, so pollution isn't really the issue. However, power and water consumption, and potential thermal pollution from wastewater discharge are definitely valid cons.
@gearhed90@NickJFreitas@LeadingReport This is a problem with too many polls: they poll 1,000 people, mainly from suburbs and wonder why the results are not taken seriously and laughed at.
@TiII_Valhalla@UnHungHero_@DonutOperator@Strippin@TheAKGuy Private equity doesn’t just happen at the institutional level. A lot of little investors use SDIRAs to provide PE to capitalize small biz. It’s small potatoes but necessary.
@ViralWavesX Wife and I were riding on a Dutch train and people around us started asking us about the US, our travels, etc. Also, I observed a couple of strangers get on at different stations and started talking. We Yanks might do it more often, but we're not alone.
@wahlstedt007 We’re ok. As an American with German friends, I stress over their lack of freedom of speech. “1984” was supposed to be a warning, not an instruction manual.
@anyiam_daniel Either a fake story or not in the US. All 50 states and DC have “Good Samaritan” laws giving legal immunity to someone administering CPR in good faith to a victim. Especially if the victim was saved, a court case would be tossed.
@DeviateDefiant@Inevitablewest@metpoliceuk The threat wasn’t yet at 0%. He had something (knife?) in his hand that he was laying on top of. The cops needed to see empty palms before they proceeded. He didn’t cooperate and got kicked in the head for it.
Compliance with commands would have saved him bruises.
@ExxAlerts I cycle. In a group like this, we always ride single file, tight to the white line.
Still, drivers should not use their car to intentionally bowl over cyclists.
@eurofounder When I go to Europe I always get a travel insurance rider to cover any health issues during the trip, emergency return, disruption, etc.
Why don’t you love your family enough to plan accordingly?
@MikeMcCroskey@mcdev@FBIDirectorKash@DAGToddBlanche The SPLC may have done something good at one time, but that doesn’t give them a pass to criminally misuse funds
Innocent until proven guilty. Let’s see is the indictments stick through trial to a conviction.
@RazDazlr1963@DefiantLs You’ll never see democrats try to stop knife ownership… at least not yet, because in today’s Overton window that is crazy talk.
@DerrickEvans4WV This is performative. It takes 2/3 of House and Senate to remove the President. Similar to removal through impeachment, they simply will never get the votes to do it.
