I did an audit. Anthropic does not get any reddit data. Not in training not in search. Openai uses it for training, not for search. Google seems to prioritize its reddit training data in AI overviews and deep research responses, even when anchored or asked to look at Reddit. In other words, I wonder whether our gurus on reddit are slightly misinformed. But then again, I never did an actual campaign, so now I'm just back seat drivering

Yes! When opus 4.5 is better than opus 4.8, and deepseek and glm5.1 (and minimize and qwen) are just passing sonnet 4.6, it should tell you something.

And then honestly, Gemini when you calculate it, is also a massive winner in cost per token as a sota model. Grok is also becoming a solid contender.

To my sorrow, Opus4.8 is nerfed. Returns more corporate-y judgemental non-answers than GPT5.4.

Google is doing much better with flash-3.5, but still not quite there.
Going to head back to codex, with it's retardedly low limits at the $20/mo plan.

Depressing, like the industry took a step backwards this past week.
