Did Anita Khatun die by suicide because she didn’t receive Annapurna Bhandar?

Many media channels reported that a woman in Malda died by suicide because she had not received Annapurna Bhandar payments.

The claim was made by a TMC leader who is close to Anita’s husband.

Now, the facts reported from the police investigation:

Anita Khatun’s husband, Inzamam Ul Haq, used to harass and beat her. Anita had informed her family about the harassment, but they did not intervene.

Anita later died by suicide.

Police have now arrested Inzamam Ul Haq after Anita’s brother filed a complaint against him.

The Annapurna Bhandar claim appears to have been used to divert attention from the actual issue.

Muslims and lies go hand in hand.

A video from the Minamarg (Minimarg) check post has circulated showing a tourist arguing with security personnel over a temporary road restriction.

The Indian Army, in coordination with local police and civil administration, implements such measures as a routine and essential part of anti-terrorism and security operations in this highly sensitive high-altitude border region near the LoC.

Road closures, cordons, and regulated movement are standard when:
• Intelligence or operational requirements demand a search/cordon to neutralise potential threats
• Weather, landslides, or convoy movements require safety clearances
• The safety of residents, tourists, and troops must be prioritised

These are not arbitrary or “anti-tourist.” They exist precisely so that civilians, including tourists can travel safely in an area that has historically faced infiltration and terror risks.
Compromising a security protocol for individual convenience could endanger dozens of lives.

To the individual in the video and similar voices:
Being “Gen Z” (or any generation) is not a qualification, a badge of entitlement, or a licence to disregard security protocols. National security does not pause for slogans, tax receipts, or generational self-identification.
Comparing legitimate operational restrictions to “locking Kashmiris” is both factually misleading and disrespectful to the forces who protect every citizen, Kashmiri, tourist, or otherwise in this challenging terrain.

Threatening Parliament while creating a public confrontation at a sensitive post does not strengthen democracy; it risks operational security.

We urge all visitors and residents:
Support these measures. They are conducted for your safety and the nation’s security. Patience and cooperation save lives.
The Army and police work hand-in-hand daily so that tourism and normal life can continue in J&K and Ladakh.
Respect the uniform. Respect the protocol. Respect the reality of the frontier.

Why your support people are so lackadical? My office broadband is down and complain booked (Airtel Wi-Fi ID 03318522991_wifi, complaint ID is 11038376477).

First of all, your tele-support team assigned a target time of 4-5pm, which is not acceptable under any circumstances for an office. I repeatedly told the agent, but she said this is only a system generated time but engineer will come much earlier.

Now, when we contacted the assigned engineer, he has the audacity to say that "he will decide when to attend, not us as the customer".

Seems, you have grasped too much than you can actually digest !!

If our office WiFi isn't rectified in next one hour (1-PM of today), consider our connection as closed. We will easily shift to other ISPs, who are eager to serve.

My request to Maharashtra Government- not to transfer to Mr. Tukaram Mundhe for at least 2-3 years. He is doing marvellous job by raiding, checking, and taking actions against defaulters. We as Indians are not getting unadulterated, safe, and quality food.

Secondly, the impact of good job by FDA Tukaram Mundhe may inspire other states FDA to take action against defaulters.
