A lot of people are one environment away from becoming a completely different version of themselves.
You can have the talent, the hunger and even the discipline, but if everyone around you is operating at the same level, there’s only so much you’ll see.
Then you enter a room where people are doing numbers you once thought were unrealistic.
Nobody is overexcited.
Nobody thinks it’s impossible.
It’s just normal there.
That kind of exposure changes you.
Your thinking expands.
Your standards change.
You start asking better questions and seeing opportunities you would have completely ignored before.
This is why association matters so much.
Sometimes you don’t need another educational/motivational video.
You need to meet someone who makes your current ceiling look like a floor.
There are people carrying serious potential right now who simply haven’t been exposed to the right people yet.
And sometimes, one relationship is enough to change the entire trajectory.‼️
There is absolutely no heartbreak that hurts more than losing a mother.
Nothing compares. Nothing prepares you for it. Nothing quite hurts this much.
I thought I knew what pain was until I lost my mother. Then, suddenly, every pain, every disappointment, every setback I had ever experienced seemed so small, so distant, almost bearable.
I am learning to live with a kind of emptiness I never knew existed.
I miss you, Mum. More than words could ever explain.
Why you do me like this na? You were the number one thing keeping me sane in this crazy world.
Why you do me like this na?
Why na?
As I was driving out of my hotel, I noticed some unrest along that road with a lady barely clad by a dirty towel on her chest.
2 young men Were trying to restrain her whilst other onlookers feasted their eyes and jeered at her. Some were recording. There was no apparent move to render any help.
I parked and asked questions. From what I could gather, she has a mental health issue and would occasionally go berserk like she did today.
I tried everything I could to get her into my car to no avail. I had reached an agreement with one of the guys who knows her to accompany us to the hospital to get her some medical attention .
She was aggressive and incoherent in her speech, insisting that there were people in her house who are trying to take her house from her. Within the 40mins I was there, She made several attempts to jump in front of a moving vehicle.
She gave me conditions before she would follow me. She said I had to buy her a pack of cigarettes. 2 meat pie and nutri milk. I did all she asked and told her I will give her the cigarettes when she gets into the car. Still she refused to go with me. After several attempts failed, I had to let her go.
I plan to try again tomorrow morning. Hopefully I can track her down with the help of the locals in the area.
It pains me that I wasn’t able to get her the help she needed. I am hopeful that my next attempt be successful.
I cannot unsee what I saw today.
A woman who clearly needed help became entertainment for a crowd. People pulled out their phones when they should have been reaching out their hands.
We need to do better honestly.
Mental illness should never become street entertainment.
A person in crisis doesn’t need an audience.
They need help. Selah
And yes, condoms still matter.
But using one is not simply about putting it on and hoping for the best. 😂
Check the expiry date.
Check the package for damage.
Store condoms somewhere cool—not baking inside your car, wallet or under direct heat.

HIV prevention isn’t a one-size-fits-all conversation.
Condoms, PrEP, PEP, regular testing, treatment, safer injecting practices, accurate information and supportive healthcare systems can all play a role.
The strongest approach is COMBINATION PREVENTION.
