The agreement was executed at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre during the 19th Asian Financial Forum

It supplies key government facilities, including the State House, the Deputy Governor’s Residence, Lagos Island General Hospital (Odan), and Lagos Island Maternity Hospital, as well as other strategic institutions and commercial hubs.
LASG, represented by the OPPP and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, has signed Power Purchase Agreements with three Independent Power Plant operators, Mainland Power Limited, Fenchurch Nigeria Limited, and Viathan Engineering Limited.
- Power Project. With a combined installed capacity of 21MW - 6MW in Lekki and 15MW in Marina, the project delivers reliable power through its hybrid and dual-fuel systems.
POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENTS
Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu today witnessed the Official Signing Ceremony of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Mainland Power Limited, Fenchurch Power Limited, Viathan Engineering Limited together with the Lagos State Government.
This signing ceremony in respect to Power Purchase Agreement With Partners providing Services To State Assets.
This renewed Power Purchase Agreement reinforces a decade-long partnership ensuring continued stability and guaranteed energy supply over the next 10 years.
AKUTE INDEPENDENT POWER PLANT – Fenchurch Power Limited / Aggregate Utilities Limited (Concession Agreement)
Previously moribund for the past five years, the plant is now being resuscitated through a comprehensive rehabilitation, upgrade, and long-term operational agreement.
The project will restore power to surrounding communities while playing a critical role in servicing the expanded and upgraded Adiyan Water Works being delivered by the Lagos State Water Corporation.
MAINLAND POWER LIMITED – Ikeja GRA Power Plant (PPA Renewal)
The Mainland Power Plant, located in Ikeja remains serves key public infrastructure, including LASUTH, LASURA, and strategic substations within the State’s power network.
This renewed Power Purchase Agreement will guarantee energy supply over the next 10 years.
VIATHAN ENGINEERING – Island Power Limited / Peninsula Integrated Power Project (Lekki & Marina Power Plants)
The Island plant provide dedicated electricity to high-impact public infrastructure, including the Lagos State Government House, the Deputy Governor’s Residence, and key health facilities such as Lagos Island General Hospital (Odan) and Lagos Island Maternity Hospital.
They also support strategic public institutions, commercial hubs, and essential distribution infrastructure across Marina and the broader Island corridor.
