Happy #AgDayAU! PPSA is proud to Stand with the Land and represent South Australian primary producers to ensure their voices are heard. Together, let's celebrate and proudly stand behind the people and places that grow our food and fibre.
" At the heart of this campaign is ensuring our farming communities remain strong, that families have the support they need and we keep that connection. Because our industry will recover, it will rain again and we will have prosperous times."

We are proud to have instigated the Drought Support Match on 20 July with the State Government and @Adelaide_FC, partnering with @PProducersSA, @Livestock_SA and SA Dairyfarmers' Association. As part of this initiative, drought effected farmers have been offered free tickets and funds will be raised on the day for the Rural Business Support Relief Fund to help farmers battling the dry. Every bit of assistance helps in drought and raising awareness in the city is an important part of this.
SOUTH EAST GRAIN PRODUCERS: @FarmsafeAust is partnering with @ThomasFoods and @PProducersSA Producers South Australia to bring a free screening of Just A Farmer to Tintinara this Thursday 3 July starting at 6:00pm.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Leila McDougall and an industry panel with David 'DJ' Jochinke, Caroline Rhodes and Stevi Howdle.

PPSA is one of the 50 organisations calling for urgent investment in rural mental health as part of the Coalition for Mental Health and Wellbeing in Agriculture.
Fifty organisations agree: urgent investment is needed in rural mental health. We're asking for $50 million over five years to support mental health and wellbeing in agriculture.
This week we met with Premier @PMalinauskasMP, Minister @ClareScriven & Treasurer @SMullighan as part of a cross-commodity meeting to discuss immediate drought support.
We stressed the need to provide further assistance asap with grain producers making decisions now on whether to seed or not. It was a robust discussion and we anticipate an announcement in the coming days.
Some of the measures GPSA has put forward include:
- funding for Council rate or Emergency Services Levy (ESL) rebates
- funding for business facilitators to work with farmers to provide access to financial and professional services and help develop a clear roadmap for recovery
- extend the on-farm infrastructure grant for drought affected growers by another $7 million and speed up processing
- increase Rural Business Supports (RBS) small business counselling services and appointment of a dedicated psychologist
- further funding for rural financial counselling services
Primary Producers SA has welcomed today’s announcement of a further $55 million in drought support for South Australian primary producers. Read more: https://t.co/Dgxsd2rO0t
