Never forget, a 13-year study of a dozen cities found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for ALL ROAD USERS. And painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all. As for sharrows, it’s safer to NOT have them. V/@StreetsblogUSA https://t.co/vTLLMEQiYe
"What follows is our obituary for the concept of generations."
Millennials, Gen Z, Gen X... all garbage labels without validity. They don't help us predict how people work or act, and they hurt our understanding of people change over time. via @rskudesia https://t.co/PCLtibwsFl

Returning all WFH employees to the office 5-days-a week looks almost impossible

- Firms pushing 4 days or less see >80% compliance
Firms should aim for something moderate and succeed, rather than aim for a 5-day return and fail

Nature experimental paper finds in person meetings raises innovation by about 15%
Randomized Control Trial paper finds WFH 2 days a week reduces employee quits by 35%
Hybrid #WFH can deliver both
3 office days for better innovation
2 home days for better employee retention

Leaders sharing their own prior negative feedback with team members—rather than seeking new feedback—achieved lasting improvements in team psychological safety.
A strong culture (=norms widely shared/strongly sanctioned) is a form of bureaucracy. It mostly rewards conformity & stability.
A subculture is a form of bureaucratic gray zone (=pockets extending discretion). It offers adaptability without often weakening stability. @TessSLea
Coffee is a mind-enhancing drug that actually works!
A randomized, placebo-controlled, between-subject, double-blind study shows the caffeine equivalent of one cup of ☕️ increases problem-solving ability, especially for problems requiring insight. https://t.co/5ngeGziTBl
@doodletweet Is there a way of scheduling group polls with time slots <30 mins? Also, can I do it in other views than the calendar? Both of these were available in the previous version.
