MBBS course harsh Reality:

Total students appeared in NEET-UG 2023 - 20,38,596

Total MBBS seats in Medical colleges - 1,09,015

Out of these, government medical college MBBS seats - approx. 56,000

Seats in private medical colleges - approx -53,000

Approx - 25,000 students go to abroad for MBBS degree every year.

Remaining 18lakhs 50 thousand students choose again to restart or join other courses.

Acceptance rate in Government medical college is just mere 2.8%.

And all this for what??? Sleepless nights, improper management, and it doesn’t end here. The rat race again starts for NEET-PG.

Coaching companies are just minting money due to this cut throat competition.

Good news from “The Jammu & Kashmir Medical Council.”CRMI duration is now revised from 2 years to 1 year.
We hope the other State Medical Council’s also revise the 2 year CRMI to 1 year according to the @NMC_IND guidelines soon.

I would like to bring in attention the injustice happening with the Foreign medical graduates :

1. Imagine being in the midsession of your internship completion or already qualified FMG Exam and you get to know you have been imposed with new guidelines by NMC which mandates you to do 2 year of internship instead of 1 year
This is what happened to FMGs !

2. After Internship completion permanent registration was withheld by state medical councils due to NMC’s public notice on July 28, 2022, due to misinterpretation

Govt is talking of UCC, but for Registration of Doctors there is no uniformity across country. We request @MoHFW_INDIA @OfficeOf_MM @mansukhmandviya @ianilradadiya @PMOIndia to kindly Instruct NMC & Medical Councils, to have same Criteria for Registration in all the States, do justice with the thousands of #FMGs waiting for their Permanent Registration from almost a year now.

#RIP Dr Yaseen Abbasi . Yesterday a bus ran over him while he was going for his duty at ESI hospital Okhla Delhi . After battling he lost his life today at 8:am at Apollo hospital.

He passed his MBBS from HIMSR.
