Grounded in the Bible and focused on the mission is the focus for the following years in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Last Thursday morning, I had the opportunity to share this vision with the employees of the General Conference, as my first message to them. I invited each one to make their commitment, and we repeated it together. After all, this is our identity and our calling.
This call is not only for those in leadership. It is for all of us. Every child, every youth, every adult. Every man and every woman. Wherever you are, God is calling you too.
This Sabbath, I invite you to make that same commitment. Let us be a church grounded in the Word and focused on the mission. Let us encourage each other to rise together and accept this calling.

Firmados na Bíblia e focados na missão. Essa é a prioridade da Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia para os próximos anos. Na última quinta-feira pela manhã, tive a oportunidade de compartilhar essa visão com os funcionários da Associação Geral, em minha primeira mensagem a eles. Convidei cada um a assumir seu compromisso, e repetimos juntos. Afinal, essa é a nossa identidade e o nosso chamado.
Esse chamado não é apenas para os líderes. É para todos nós. Cada criança, cada jovem, cada adulto. Todo homem e toda mulher. Onde quer que você esteja, Deus também está lhe chamando.
Neste sábado, convido você a tomar essa mesma decisão. Vamos ser uma igreja firmada na Palavra e focada na missão. Vamos nos encorajar uns aos outros a nos levantarmos juntos e aceitarmos esse chamado.

Estar fundamentados en la Biblia y enfocados en la misión es el objetivo principal para los próximos años en la Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día. El jueves pasado por la mañana, tuve la oportunidad de compartir esta visión con los empleados de la Asociación General como mi primer mensaje para ellos. Invité a cada uno a comprometerse, y lo repetimos juntos. Después de todo, esta es nuestra identidad y nuestro llamado.
Este llamado no es solo para los líderes. Es para todos nosotros. Cada niño, cada joven, cada adulto. Cada hombre y cada mujer. Dondequiera que estés, Dios también te está llamando a ti.
Este sábado, te invito a tomar esa misma decisión. Seamos una iglesia fundamentada en la Palabra y enfocada en la misión. Animémonos unos a otros a levantarnos juntos y aceptar este llamado.

In the heart of Africa lives a six-year-old girl named TMI. She is named after Total Member Involvement, an initiative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that encourages every member to get involved in sharing Jesus with someone else. The child was born just as TMI evangelism was sweeping her home country of Burundi. Her parents were delighted to see the results of TMI, and so decided to name their daughter TMI, so she could be a witness for Jesus from birth. As she grew older, TMI decided to use her beautiful voice to share her love for Jesus. As a result, many people are learning about God and now attend the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
