I don't like the animation and new art style.
Shrek was built on realism with a touch of fantasy, which contrasted with Disney. It lended itself to the satirical fairytale world they built. Making Shrek bouncy and cartoony feels like the antithesis of what Shrek is.
Love in this movie the first time he tries to convince Selina to not kill Falcone he does it from a stand point of moral posturing and it fails miserably. But this second time he makes it about her and her pain and how she doesn’t have to let him drag her down even more. So good

My favourite thing post-backrooms is learning that the concept of the backrooms has kind of been intrinsically linked to the human psyche (but also experience) for a very long time, regardless of if we had a term for it or not
