Kalau kita beneran niat nyelametin hutan dan hewan langka di Indonesia, kita pasti bakal nabrak kepentingan orang-orang gede—mulai dari mafia tanah, pembalak liar, pengusaha kelapa sawit ilegal, sampai pemburu satwa.

Makanya, kalau ada aktivis yang adem-ayem aja dan temennya banyak di mana-mana, jangan-jangan mereka cuma main aman alias zonk action-nya.

Nah, hormat banget sama tim inti dari Yayasan Kalaweit yang udah bertahun-tahun pasang badan di lapangan:

• CHANEE (Aurélien Brulé): Bule asal Prancis yang udah lokal banget karena puluhan tahun tinggal di pedalaman Kalimantan. Chanee ini terkenal no compromise (nggak bisa disogok atau diajak cincong). Kalau hutan Kalaweit diganggu, dia bakal maju paling depan, makanya musuhnya banyak banget.

• ANDREW Kalaweit: Anaknya Chanee yang sekarang jadi idola anak muda. Lewat video-videonya yang estetik tapi edukatif, Andrew nunjukin gimana seru sekaligus beratnya hidup menjaga hutan secara nyata, bukan cuma modal ngetik save the planet di medsos.

• Pak RIDIN & IQBAL: Mereka ini para ranger atau tim lapangan Kalaweit. Merekalah garda terdepan yang hari-hari kerjanya patroli di tengah hutan, ngadepin pemburu, dan mastiin suara owa (gibbon) masih bisa kedengeran aman di habitatnya.

Mereka membuktikan kalau mau jaga alam itu butuh nyali gede, bukan cuma sekadar butuh pujian.
