Speaking at the dialogue, @AzusaKubota , Res Rep @UNDP #lka noted that as we mark the 10th Anniversary of the #ParisAgreement in 2025, the next NDC cycle offers the last opportunity to get back on track towards a ~1.5° pathway. She reiterated @antonioguterres @UN Secretary-General's message promising UNDP's support in leveraging the Climate Promise prog to lead a coordinated, UN System-wide effort on supporting the #NDCs.

At the Development Partner's Dialogue on #NDC 3.0, Mr. B.K. Prabath Chandrakeerthi, Secretary @Min_of_Env_SL highlighted the Government's commitment to international #climate pledges & called on the support from Development Partners, UN Agencies and Embassies to update NDC 3.0 which is to be submitted to the @UNFCCC by 10th February 2025.

Mr Prabath Chandrakeerth, Sec @Min_of_Env_SL emphasized that "We cannot achieve the goals of the #MontrealProtocol as individual states; we must work together. It is crucial to involve private organizations and #communities to make real progress. In 2024, Sri Lanka took special steps under the Montreal Protocol, introducing a quota system to regulate the production of #HFCs. By 2023, we aim to completely stop the production of #HCFCs in #lka. This Ozone Day, we urge you to spread this message to all."
