@BesuraTaansane Regardless of the department or degree, as long as the Govt continues to provide cushioning of the SC/ST Act and reservations, even basic education in the country will go to drains. Lets address the root cause. Humanities vs. non-humanities is just deflection from the core issue
Modi Ji, why not 100% reservation? 73% is way too less. Put all general category in gas chambers and let them die. Afterall, they are freeloaders and liability of the nation. Isn't it?? #reservation#SCSTएक्ट#IITBombay
All parties are united on one platform to implement 73% reservation in MP.
In Mohan Yadav's all-party meeting, BJP, Congress, AAP, Left, BSP, SP, along with all others, are participating and working to get the reservation raised to 73%.
Why don't the BJP slaves open their mouths on this??
WTF they are surely trying to kick out GCs from the country.
@JaipurDialogues The day a judge finds himself accused in a fabricated SC/ST case, watch how quickly a midnight hearing gets scheduled. Given how rapidly this “virus” is spreading, that day may not be far away.
The Govt should perhaps make a law that SC/ST students only need to turn up at the examination hall. Give them a lollipop while professors write their answer scripts for them. After all, stopping them from cheating is apparently “inhumane.” Next, perhaps enforcing examination rules itself will be declared a punishable offence.
I was a student at IIT Madras in 2003. At that time, HSS was already offering PhD programs in disciplines such as Economics and English. The MA programs were introduced later. So, the seeds had been sown much earlier. Even in the early 2000s, both the HSS faculty and students of the department were sick to the core.
THE CASE OF DR DOOLLA: FROM AWARD WINNING PROFESSOR AND EXAM INVIGILATOR TO SC/ST FIR.
Dr Doolla completed his MTech and PhD from two IITs. He has won multiple honours and awards.
On Friday, Sahil Wakode (20), a second-year Dalit student in the Energy Science section, was caught using a mobile phone during an examination conducted between 2 pm and 4 pm. Dr Doolla was the invigilator. A few hours later, Wakode died by suicide.
Soon after, protests broke out on campus with students blaming the "SYSTEM" that puts too much exam pressure on students. In response IIT Bombay put out an official statement saying no formal disciplinary action had been initiated against Wakode. The institute claims the student was counselled by faculty and assured that the incident would not derail his academic career.
NOW, THE SAME PROFESSOR WHO INVIGILATED THAT EXAM HAS BEEN NAMED IN AN FIR INVOKING PROVISIONS OF THE SC/ST ACT. The act was invoked because Wakode's parents accused Dr Doolla of "casteism".
You have been MP for this area for three terms. Your party was in power. Your party has MLA for 15+ years. What have you and your party has done for this area?
₹5,500 crore has been spent on Bengaluru’s roads since 2023, yet Gunjur remains plagued by potholes and severe congestion. Yesterday, schoolchildren took 2.5 hours to travel just 4 km. How can the Government justify ₹5,500 crore when citizens still struggle on unsafe roads?
We desperately need help!
Children and teachers spent as much as 7 hours on the road getting to school and back home today. Sadly, this is not a one-off event
We urgently need to invest in mass mobility & public transport, a bigger road network - long term investments for an ever growing #Bengaluru.
And meanwhile, there are things we can do now:
• Keep heavy vehicles off key roads during school peak hours
• Enforce penalties for wrong-side driving & other traffic violations
• Incentivise school buses & shared transport over individual vehicles
• Collect real mobility data and use simulation / “what-if” analysis to determine optimal school & office timings
• Fix potholes, blocked drains & other bottlenecks urgently
This area is home to some of Bengaluru’s and India’s best schools. Their parents & educators have built Brand Blr. And these thousands of children will power the future of our city & country
Surely we can do better for them & for the teachers, parents, staff & citizens who are losing hours of their lives on our roads every day. This needs both immediate action and long-term planning
I believe all stakeholders want what’s right for our citizens & city. So here’s hoping, praying … working collaboratively towards effective solutions
UPI charges—another questionable move added to the government’s growing list of blunders. It has no hesitation in splurging taxpayers’ money on freebies, yet suddenly seems to have no money to support the digital payment infrastructure that powers UPI. Shame! #UPI
The entire Reservation Reform Protest has been so eye opening for all of General Category citizens. That absolutely no party, no politician no one cares about us. We are no one’s vote bank. Everyone takes us for granted. We are on our own!
I’m sure when Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II of Jaipur built Jantar Mantar in Delhi, he never imagined it would one day become a place to waste time centuries later!
After the clownery of CJP, which was covered internationally by key players, we now have India’s general-category citizens once again taking to the streets, demanding equal opportunity and a fairer policy based on economic criteria rather than the deeply flawed and skewed system of caste-based reservation. And this time, the international key players are strangely silent.
How much longer will the Narendra Modi government take to make the system fair for all?
#ReservationHatao
50 protestors were arrested by Delhi Police at Jantar Mantar yesterday late in the evening. Not one BJP, OPPOSITION neta has demanded amnesty.
HOW MANY CJP ACTIVISTS HELD FOR JANTAR MANTAR VIOLENT NEET PROTEST? = 0
HOW MANY PRO-MERIT PROTESTORS DETAINED FOR PEACEFUL PROTEST AGAINST QUOTA AT JANTAR MANTAR? = > 50
How many "freedom of expression activists" demanding the release of "meritorious" protestors? = 0
WHAT'S THE MAIN DEMAND OF ANTI-QUOTA PROTESTORS:
Reservations should go to poor, not castes.
IS MAKING SUCH A DEMAND PEACEFULLY A REASON TO DETAIN/ARREST?
