South Asian cricket is slowly dying outside India. Over the last decade the fall of Bangladesh,Sri Lanka and Pakistan as cricket nations has been steep and consistent. Yes, there have been a few flourishes here and there but the odd victories have not stemmed the steady decline. With West Indies already in a near terminal decline and South Africa not sure of avoiding a similar fate as these nations, International Cricket is in crisis. We may not accept it now but it surely is.

Was thinking about the Pakistan XI that took the field yesterday. They had just ONE world class batsman in Babar and maybe half in Rizwan. Cannot think of a Pakistan team 2 or 3 decades ago that did not have at least 3-4 world class batsmen. What a steep fall......
