Today, Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) announced the results of Project Jetsetter – a coordinated enforcement and investigative response focused on criminal tourism.
Project Jetsetter is the culmination of multiple major investigations into organized criminal activity in Durham Region and across the Greater Toronto Area. This initiative targeted organized groups travelling to Canada for the purpose of executing high-profit crimes, often connected to international criminal networks. These activities are deliberate, coordinated, and profit-driven; not random or opportunistic.
Through more than nine separate investigations and over 5,000 investigative hours, the DRPS Financial Crimes Unit has tracked more than 200 incidents tied to criminal tourism, resulting in over $2.61 million in confirmed financial losses in Durham Region alone.

Our plan to protect Ontario is working.
For the second month in a row, Ontario led the country and North America in job creation, adding 42,000 jobs, including 12,800 manufacturing jobs. Over the last two months, we’ve added more than 84,000 jobs, the vast majority of which are full-time.
We’re going to keep delivering on our plan to create jobs, protect workers and build the most competitive, resilient and self-reliant economy in the G7.
Ford Fest is two weeks away!
Join me and our @OntarioPCParty team on June 19 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Thomson Memorial Park in Scarborough for an evening of great food, music and fun for the whole family.
Today, I joined Mayor Chow to announce that Ontario will officially take ownership of the Gardiner Expressway and the Don Valley Parkway by fall 2027.
As the new owner of these critical highways, our guarantee is simple: We will never toll them and we will never tear them down.

For the millions of Ontario drivers who count on the Gardiner Expressway and Don Valley Parkway, here’s our promise: We’ll never toll these highways and we’ll never tear them down.
This week marks the 42nd anniversary of when Harmandir Sahib, one of most revered shrines in Sikhism, was attacked during Operation Blue Star.
Let us never forget the thousands of innocent lives lost in the 1984 #SikhGenocide#NeverForget1984
Today, we announced Ontario will take ownership of the Gardiner Expressway and Don Valley Parkway as part of the New Deal for Toronto.
These vital transportation corridors connect communities, support economic growth and keep the GTA moving. This agreement will reduce financial pressures on the City of Toronto, freeing up over $1.9 billion in capital funding that can now be invested in the TTC, local roads and public parks, while ensuring the Gardiner and DVP remain safe, reliable and toll-free for generations to come.
I visited the site of the future Eglinton Crosstown West Extension last week to check out the great progress being made.
This extended transit line will be within walking distance of close to 40,000 commuters, connecting communities in Mississauga and Etobicoke and keeping thousands of workers on the job during construction.
Ontario is getting ready to welcome the world for FIFA World Cup 2026 ⚽️
Starting tomorrow, transit riders can pick up a limited-edition PRESTO Commemorative Card while supplies last.
Whether you're heading to a match, exploring the region or cheering on your team, PRESTO makes getting around simple and convenient.
The Geraldton Main Street project is a critical link for the local community and for the roads to the Ring of Fire.
With work now underway on its reconstruction, we’re delivering on our promise to build the roads to the Ring of Fire, connect remote First Nations communities and protect Ontario workers.

After 15 years of a Liberal government and decades of Liberal MPP’s in Scarborough, our community felt abandoned and unnoticed. Under the leadership of Premier Ford, our government is making significant investments in improving healthcare and expanding services while also investing in the critical transit that Scarborough so desperately needs.
Of course, the Liberals and NDP have voted against every single project that would support the hardworking people of Scarborough.

Shovels are now in the ground to rebuild the roads at the gateway to the Ring of Fire, the first step in our plan to start construction on new all-season roads later this month.
These roads will unlock the Ring of Fire, connect First Nations to better services and economic opportunities, and support the creation of more than 70,000 good-paying jobs for Ontario workers.
#ICYMI It was great to be in Caledon celebrating @407ETR’s $5 million donation to @RunnymedeHC.
This investment will help build two new treatment facilities, expand access to care for first responders, and support better recovery outcomes for those who serve our communities every day.
Our government is taking action to reduce building costs and speed up the construction of new homes through the Development Charge Reduction Program: a new, shared program with the federal government that will deliver $8.8 billion in funding towards housing-enabling infrastructure projects for municipalities that cut development charges by 30% or more.
Along with the HST relief announced in Ontario’s 2026 budget, this program will help make homes across the province more affordable.

As Canada and our allies ramp up defence investments, we’re ready to do our part here in Ontario to keep our country safe.
Ontario’s Defence Industrial Strategy will help protect Canada and create good-paying jobs for up to 43,000 Ontario workers.

I’m so thrilled about this news.
For generations, residents have talked about having a waterfront trail along the Holland River and the north bank of the canal system. It was included in our Trails Master Plan back in 2007 and has been repeated in official plans, transportation plans and urban design strategies ever since.
The vision has always been to reconnect our community to its waterfront and create a continuous trail system linking neighbourhoods, parks and natural areas.
A few years ago, our Green Initiatives Advisory Committee suggested a practical Phase One segment: a trail from Marshview Boulevard, behind the new Green Valley East subdivision, along the water to the Portuguese Cultural Centre, connecting into the new subdivision trails and the new dog park.
Today, that vision took a huge step forward.
Thanks to Minister @C_Mulroney, Minister @PrabSarkaria and their teams, we’ve secured $2.36 million to build Phase One and complete the engineering and design work needed for future phases of what will ultimately become a more than 20-kilometre waterfront trail network.
And the best part?
This isn’t another study, strategy or master plan.
After decades of talking about this trail, shovels will be in the ground this year on phase one.
Not only will we build the first segment of the waterfront trail, we’ll also create a trailhead park connected to the new dog park and advance planning for the larger trail system that will eventually connect people to our waterfront.
This is the largest conservation project in Bradford’s history.
It’s transformational, it’s long overdue and it’s finally happening.

I was in Caledon yesterday to welcome @407ETR’s $5 million donation to @RunnymedeHC, supporting the construction of two new specialized treatment facilities in Toronto and Caledon.
This investment will help expand access for first responders to integrated care, improve outcomes and support long-term recovery.
The historic defence investments that Canada and our allies are making provide an incredible opportunity to protect Ontario workers and Canadian sovereignty.
Mayor @AlexFromBarrie is showing how municipalities can take the lead by attracting defence investments and creating good-paying local jobs, as part of Ontario’s Defence Industrial Strategy.

In an increasingly uncertain world, Ontario has everything we need to protect ourselves, our allies and our workers.
Today, I unveiled the framework for Ontario’s new Defence Industrial Strategy, outlining our plan to make Ontario a global leader in defence research and manufacturing while creating tens of thousands of good-paying jobs for Ontario workers.
