Did you know #RomanCatholics & #EasternOrthodox are not only losing more people then they gain (despite the constant narrative they run online), and are on average less pious then many other Christian groups?

@ANotionToPonder@OrthodoxEthos@AL_J82 Hoping to have a livestream on the talk next month! But I do already have a fair amount of content out on it (and likely will be what I bring up in the stream): https://t.co/leHB9TRnbN
@ANotionToPonder@OrthodoxEthos@AL_J82 I agree, but hopefully it's clear to onlookers, that is the contention and we are pointing out many try to obscure this. I greatly appreciate DeYoung's honesty on the matter, but many try to make it seem like something else is being said.
@ANotionToPonder@OrthodoxEthos@AL_J82 As the guy in the video says right after the time mark you sent he asked if DeYoung knew, of course he then lays a false charge of "just incredulity" from Gavin.
@ANotionToPonder@OrthodoxEthos@AL_J82 You know, Gavin has an exact response to this in the video I linked pointing to this common analogy.
But note here, De Young is explicit. He is not denying they "could" get help, but it is "this hospital" they must go to for the cure, the only sure one. We reject this idea.
@ANotionToPonder@OrthodoxEthos@AL_J82 Will that result in that being answered, yes, but the dialogue must move past this obscurity and refusal to engage 1 the historic teaching, and 2 the proper rejection of that teaching and pointing out there has been a change.
@ANotionToPonder@OrthodoxEthos@AL_J82 No, what I & Gavin & others are trying to point out, is that simply responding with, "you are misunderstanding what we mean by salvation," is not actually engaging the point and underselling it. I am wanting honesty, and not vagueness. "Yet your yes be yes, and your no be no."
@ANotionToPonder@OrthodoxEthos@AL_J82 I am fine with, is it true or not, but the question of final judgement is being skirted around. The EO historically taught, plainly, outside of their sect there is no salvation. The answer of, "salvation is about a transformed life," does not negate the fact that it's also about
@GregChacon5@OrthodoxEthos@AL_J82 You know what they say about assuming.
You are welcome to put forth your arguments, but salvation in Scripture covers everything from justification to glorification, it is not simply possible avoiding the destruction predicted in Matthew.
Is anyone aware of any English translation of this work? https://t.co/cvQs8N7n6n @sincead33 you like obscure old works too, can you help a brother out!?
@MethodMinistry@Alex_Ortodoxie@ModernDayDebate Alex you may be interested to know in fact the NPP is not "every scholar" and has been refuted on several fronts. Here is me demonstrating that: https://t.co/YVwWTN5CjD
And if you want to know what 1 Wesleyans teach and 2 what "Protestants" see this: https://t.co/37WxRVSY8I
@MethodMinistry@Alex_Ortodoxie@ModernDayDebate Listening live, "Wesley teaches nothing happens," has definitely been one of the most huge misunderstandings of Wesley's teaching that I have heard in a very long time. I exhort you Alex, to please go learn what we actually teach, because that is not ours nor Wesley's teaching.
