@upzonenj I understand the need to display this stuff at the census block level but can’t we mask the huge swaths of parkland/industrial that makes these areas look bigger than they are? Has anyone tried making a tile or hex cartogram of Jersey City?

@JerseyCityTimes Communications equipment is a great project to fund with the UASI federal/state grant program. Has the city applied for this grant to pay for this equipment? Or did we push the easy button again and put it towards a capital budget? Worth asking - please investigate.

@upzonenj I sent a complaint to Apple and suggested they take the app down until it’s fixed. The developers website and email also aren’t functioning. Parking should get rid of it and get their operations section going instead of solely supporting the street sweeper.

@josh_weissman @StevenFulop Yes, that’s a great idea. Coming up Bergen from Bergen-Lafayette you have to bike past JSQ (jockeying with the taxis at the stand) to dock your citibike at Van Repien, then walk back a block and a half to JSQ. That’d be the perfect spot for a true JSQ citibike station.

@ndhapple Also, @GovKathyHochul this seems like the perfect opportunity to leverage your power as an Appointing Authority of both the Port Authority and the MTA boards. Can you please look at this? There must be a solution/explanation.

@ndhapple And spent $100 MM to do it, instead of piggybacking on the MTA’s contract. The potential waste begs the question, and the Port Authority Inspector General needs to publish a report with their analysis of this program and contract.
