Seattle City Council voted to end caste discrimination in Seattle with a 6-1 vote today. This landmark legislation is the first of its kind in USA.

The woman in this picture is a USA-based activist named Thenmozhi Soundararajan.

Renowned for her anti-Brahmin views, she was scheduled to speak at Google in April this year.

Her talk was however cancelled by the tech giant, fearing division and rancour in the workplace.
