That no prominent "Kuki" leaders - politicians, especially elected members of the #Manipur Legislative Assembly or intellectuals - condemn the heinous act of murdering women and children, including infant, in cold blood after taking them hostage and displaying the picture of those helpless women and children on social media, is very unfortunate!

Worst, when some of them justify and/or explain away such heinous criminal acts by the members of their own community as "retaliatory", it only reinforces some collective stereotypes which should have been otherwise consigned to the pages of history! Indeed, it's an avoidable posture if one truly cares for one's own community, let alone peace!
