How does a NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY violate the Constitution so brazenly?
MNLU Nagpur PhD: 23 seats reserved for SC/ST/OBC/NT. Filled: 4.
Unreserved cap: 12. Filled: 22.
They didn’t just bend the rules they bulldozed them.
19 Bahujan seats snatched away.
This is institutional casteism.
This is an outrageous and cruel response to man-animal conflict, in this case leopards in Western Maharashtra. You cannot round up 1500 leopards and send them to a ‘rescue-centre’ ‘zoo’ facility.
I sincerely hope it’s not approved. Need more thought on how to best handle the conflict
Over 3 months,we investigated how hospital acquired infection affects millions in India, and yet it's not a topic patients really know about, or insurance companies care about.
Here's a video based on our investigation. @whatsthemahtta@raghavKakkar30 https://t.co/OH5zKuZQkG
Municipality, Manhole, Machine and inadquate enforcement Mechanism on Manual Scavenging forced Marginalised into cycle of lethal & hazardous employment dehumanising labour.
Instead of drama in #SwachhBharat, all the ministers and officers should join the consevancy workers & manual scavengers for 15-day-long 'Sewa Pakhwada', to celebrate PM's Birthday, and experience true #Moksha as suggested by Mahatma. @VBAforIndia

Dear @paranjoygt,
Thanks for asking the real tough questions that our media at large has forgotten to ask. We listened to whole press conference and couldn't find the answer to your question.
Did you happen to get any response incase we missed?

Mr Home Minister @Dev_Fadnavis are you going to take any steps to improve the conviction rate under Prevention of Atrocities Act. We know law and order situation in the State is not good, however, Police and Prosecution is same, so why there is no improvement in the Conviction under PoA. Conviction rate of Maharashtra was 58.29 in the year 2020, which dropped to 54.36 in 2021, and further to 46.36 in 2022 but never ever low to 12.1 as is the case under Prevention of Atrocities Act. @DGPMaharashtra
District Magistrates never ever review prosecution cases under PoA in quaterly meetings nor CM conduct half yearly meetings.
#Caste #Atrocities
Several education activists and NGOs campaigned for Congress, however the education and health sector is under funded, affecting education of Minority & Marginalised. Though, enactment for SC & ST funds is there, the funds are been diverted in both Karnataka & Telangana.
In Maharashtra also many NGOs helped Maha Vikas Aghadi during its campaign. Many Ambedkarite Activists too jumped into the campaign, despite regimes of both of either Aghadi or Yuti reducing allocation in the sectors of health, education and Scholarships of SC, ST, OBC. In last decade, Maharashtra’s budget allocations for education, and specifically for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), reveal several important trends—including periods of decline in education’s share of the budget and underutilization of earmarked funds. Nominally, allocation for education has increased in rupee terms—from approximately ₹83,000 crore in 2018-19 to over ₹1,05,000 crore in the 2025-26 budget—the share of education in the total state budget has declined from around 17.6% in 2019-20 to just 13.9% in 2025-26.
In 2016-17, allocations were ₹6,725 crore for SCs and ₹5,357 crore for STs. The subsequent years saw some increases, but also severe underutilization and irregularities, especially for tribal education schemes and scholarships, for example, schemes like the “Construction of Ashram Schools” for tribal students saw allocation of ₹1,210 lakh in 2019-20, but only ₹9.6 lakh was actually spent—a 99% underutilization.
During Congress, or Aghadi and Yuti government, the pattern has been of reductions as well as chronic under-spending of the available funds—especially for SC/ST education schemes. CSOs and NGOs in Maharashtra should focus on demanding policy accountability, effective utilization, and monitoring of SC ST Budgets rather than campaign support for any party and appealing Dalits and Adivasis to vote for Maha Vikas Aghadi. The same applies, for Dalit Activists and Academicians, barring one or two, nothing comes on government budgets and policy shifts, preparing public position papers and briefings to hold state actors accountable.
Maharashtra’s education budget for marginalized groups has suffered both from reduced prioritization and underutilization, hope in near time CSOs and Activists would focus on focus on accountability and equity.

Earlier this year we brough together changemakers from our local network to share and celebrate their work, reflect on challenges, and build meaningful connections.
At SCI, we believe change happens when people feel supported, heard, and empowered to act - and we're committed to creating the spaces that make this possible.
We also foster collaboration across issues, sectors, and communities, because when we work together, we can amplify our collective impact and build the supportive networks that sustain us for the long haul.
Actions inside Police Stations are not within Public View @CPPuneCity
Acts such Intentionally insulting or humiliating in any place within public view or deliberately insulting or humiliating by caste name in public view constitute Atrocities, and CP Pune through Sr Police Inspector is saying alleged event was not in public view.
The amendment introduced in Section 18 A of the Prevention of Atrocities Act, stated that there would be no requirement for a preliminary enquiry or approval for the arrest of a person who had been accussed of committing an offence under the act, and judgement by SC and recently by Madras High Court that FIR first Enquiry next, as the petition was for negligence of duty, and yet Police is saying prima facie Girls were not humiliated, harrassed and by caste names in public view. All girls were called to Kothrud Police Station, they were humiliated and named by caste inside police stattion and Police is saying its not in Public View.
Whenever, matter is related to caste atrocities, activists has to protest outside police station to register FIR. Our Country and Maharashtra State does not have a full time Home Minister @Dev_Fadnavis, the CM has not called for High Level Meeting under PoA act, nor trainings for DySP and other police personnels are conducted for Social Legislations, by Yashada or @BartiConnect or @MSJEGOI.
The investigation as per rules of PoA, should be conducted by Dy SP, Home Minister conduct High Power meeting immediately and write to District SP to ensure strict compliance under PoA Act. @VBAforIndia
The case is a very important for debates around Human rights, police reform, and custodial justice in India.
The Aurangabad Bench of Bombay High Court strongly criticized the police for inaction and procedural bias, noting delays in registering an FIR and attempts at a cover-up, including alleged offers of bribes to the family ( ₹50 lakh and jobs ). The High Court ordered the police to register a criminal case (FIR) and to have the investigation conducted by a Deputy Superintendent-level officer, now Hon’ble Supreme Court upheld High Court Order. Thanks Balasaheb!
Global decline in freedom of expression is endangering free and fair elections & must be reversed for the sake of democracy as well as #HumanRights, concludes UN expert @Irenekhan in her report to #HRC59.
