The Nasty Party’s Tony Abbott now wants the Aboriginal flag pulled down from all public buildings and the respectful/inclusive Welcome to Country ritual abandoned. LNP is going on Trumpist campaign to make us fearful of immigration to win over not so rusted-on Labor voters.
Two days ago the police pushed their way into my flat injuring my house mate at 6am. They arrested me for "conspiracy to cause a public nuisance" for doing a talk at a festival 3 mths ago. They took my laptop, phone.
Am fine. The question is when is this going to happen to you?
There are literally people who claim to be Christians who are defending Israel’s bombing of one of Christianity’s oldest churches, there in Gaza… which, even more sacred than the iconic building, was filled with precious women and children, many of whom are Palestinian Christians.
The devil is a liar.
Every Christian in America, and around the globe should be asking right now: “What would Jesus, the Prince of Peace, do?”
Let me suggest that he would not bless this violence.
Jesus blessed those who mourn. He blessed the widows and the orphans. He blessed the poor. And Jesus blessed the peacemakers, not the war makers.
@FairAusADV Look at the faces of these First Nations People…and tell them that Colonisation has been a good thing…
Have you picked up your silver yet ?
Wrong, @RichardMarlesMP. It is not within the rules of war for Israel to indiscriminately bomb civilians, block humanitarian aid, cut off food, water, gas and electricity, issue mass evacuation orders inc. 22 hospitals, use white phosphorus, kill paramedics. These are war crimes.
Ethnic cleansing, genocide, collective punishment, are war crimes. It is appalling that Australia is continuing to support Israel and refusing to acknowledge and condemn their horrific war crimes. Extraordinary and chilling.
No @RichardMarlesMP it’s not “within the rules of war” for Israel to cut off water & food to civilians, indiscriminately bomb civilian neighbourhoods, block humanitarian aid, issue mass evacuation orders, use white phosphorus. You don’t fight war crimes with more war crimes #Gaza
One of the fundamentals of international law – at the heart of the Geneva Conventions – is a prohibition on collective punishment: that is, retaliating against the enemy’s civilian population, making them pay the price for the acts of their leaders and armies.
Very obviously, Gaza is about as flagrant a violation of this prohibition as can be found. Even in 'quiet' times, its inhabitants – one million of them children – are denied the most basic freedoms, such as the right to movement; access to proper health care because medicines and equipment cannot be brought in; access to drinkable water; and the use of electricity for much of the day because Israel keeps bombing Gaza’s power station.
Israel has never made any bones of the fact that it is punishing the people of Gaza for being ruled by Hamas, which rejects Israel’s right to have dispossessed the Palestinians of their homeland in 1948 and imprisoned them in overcrowded ghettos like Gaza.
What Israel is doing to Gaza is the very definition of collective punishment. It is a war crime: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks of every year, for 16 years.
And yet no one in the so-called international community seems to have noticed.
From my latest:

I get it. It’s uncomfortable. I really wish I could say that Israel 🇮🇱 isn‘t committing war crimes in Gaza, but if you look up the list of actions defined as war crimes and you look up what Israel says it‘s doing (not even what the Red Cross claims it‘s doing, but what the Israeli government says), there can be no doubt. And yes, Hamas also committed war crimes and no, under international law that does not give Israel a free pass to commit war crimes in retaliation, because the definition of most war crimes is that the victims are not the perpetrators but civilians. If the killing of one innocent is ‘avenged’ by killing another innocent, that just means two innocents are dead.
💔 Pray for sanity to return. Better yet, DEMAND that sanity returns. My heart is broken. 💔
BREAKING: @Environmental Council of Queensland (ECoCEQ) and Environmental Justice Australia have lost their court challenge to Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek’s failure to act on the climate impacts of two huge coal projects.
SHAME.

I have read this article and am impressed by the details. 👇👇
I am not into conspiracy theories at all, but the Atlas Network and the backscratching club that pretends to be "anti-elite" needs MUCH greater exposure.
All Australians need to meet and understand the puppeteers.
Protect takayna and save the beautiful Azure Kingfisher. @tanya_plibersek This colourful bird is endangered, and conservationists say without help it will go extinct. One of 14 endangered native birds without a recovery plan. https://t.co/DJdAeKMx1D
