That's not all the BJP did.
Under Bajpai :
81st Constitutional Amendment Act (2000) : Introduced Article 16(4B), allowing backlog vacancies to be carried forward next year, without counting them against the 50% cap.
82nd Constitutional Amendment Act (2000) : Added a proviso to Article 335, enabling the state to relax qualifying marks or lower evaluation standards for SC/ST candidates in promotion.
85th Constitutional Amendment Act (2001) : Amended Article 16(4A) to grant the benefit of "consequential seniority" to SC/ST government employees promoted via reservation.
Who is in favour of reservation?
𝗔𝗸𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗬𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘃, who became Chief Minister riding on his father’s political legacy.
𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘄𝗮𝗻, who became an MP riding on his father’s legacy.
𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗸𝗵𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝘇𝗮𝗱, who has built his politics around the SC/ST Act and caste-based reservation.
Chirag Paswan even tried his luck in the film industry and failed badly. Chandrashekhar Azad tried politics without relying on an SC/ST and lost badly.
Guys, just think about it.. Could any of them have achieved the same level of success without the support, privileges, or advantages they received?
@NamitaBalyan BTW, this is what BJP gave to GCs;
>Ammendment in Atrocity act
>Removed the 50% reservation capping
>UGC guidelines
And apart from that they are running several walfare scemes where GCs are excluded (This isn’t a problem).
BELIEVE ME GUYS, BJP IS WORKING FOR GCs.
🚨Aunty,
BJP raised reservations to 70 percent in MP.
BJP raised reservations to 70 percent in Maharashtra.
BJP continued Congress policy of awarding reservations to Muslims.
BJP increased the ambit of SC ST laws to target Brahmins and GCs.

Dear General Category,
Don't let IT Celliyas guilt-trip you over the timing of the Reservation movement.
We are here to raise our legitimate concerns. Our rights don't come with an Election Calendar.
Every year, some State or the other goes to the polls. Does that mean we remain silent forever because someone will always claim we are "affecting the elections"?
2027? They are saying, "Don't hurt BJP in Uttar Pradesh."
2028? It'll become, "Don't weaken BJP's only stronghold in the South: Karnataka."
2029? They'll say, "Maharashtra and the Lok Sabha elections are too important. Stay quiet."
Their excuses will change. Their objective won't i.e to keep the GCs silent.
So keep raising your voice; our rights aren't seasonal.
Coz if not now, then when?
PM @narendramodi Sir the cross subsidy paid by students in 50% general not govt quota should stop. Why should middle class students pay for medical education through their nose to subside the govt quota? Govt should pay the full cost of medical education for govt quota students this will cut fees for general seats by at least 50%. We need fairness in education.
Govt pays almost 90% of cost of medical education in govt colleges, why not in others too for govt quota. This burden on general seats middle class families is outrageous. Please intervene . We are promoting greater inequality due to this. Medical education cannot be preserve of parents who can pay 1cr + as fees. @mansukhmandviya@NITIAayog@sanjeevsanyal@AmitShah@nsitharaman@republic@ARanganathan72@TimesNow@RShivshankar@rahulroushan@sardesairajdeep@PMOIndia@IndiaToday
One bad policy can ruin an entire industry:
In 2022, India was the world’s 2nd-largest sugar exporter.
In 2026, India is set to import sugar for the first time in a decade.
Sugar prices have risen by 40% in just two months.
Rice prices are also hitting a one-year high.
The government cannot refuse to roll back E20 simply because some businessmen have invested in ethanol factories. That is a joke.
E10 will also require ethanol.
Just got a call from @DelhiPolice ! Jantar Mantar has been SHUT DOWN ! NO PROTEST againt the SUGAR SCAM or ETHANOL SCAM or NITIN GADKARI ji will be allowed!!
This is going bizarre!!
@OGTeamBharat
