@loveholic198@ActuallyCloud Lost Lenore is just a literary term like how Cloud is an "unreliable narrator".
And yes, her being the Savior of the universe is why.
Again, I'm not denying Clerith basely, I'm just saying there are some irreconcilabilities that make it improbable, nearing impossible.
e.g. death
@loveholic198@ActuallyCloud Again, I completely understand Cloud and Aerith's love for each other. But I worry for people who anchor their expectation against a Lost Lenore trope.
Especially when the Revelation trailer has already shown us "reality."
@ActuallyCloud Are you actually expecting that Cloud is going to become God and exist simultaneously across all Multiverses, just so he can reject Life and death?
Because that's what Sephiroth wants. And Aerith herself has made it pretty clear that, that's the wrong thing to do.
@ActuallyCloud Not talking about Tifa AT ALL.
Not talking about Cloud's feelings for Aerith either. I'm talking about what happens to a "certain character" that removes the possibility of Clerith.
And I'm doubly worried about spoilers if you're conflating my Snape metaphor with ANYTHING else.
@ActuallyCloud This almost makes sense, but there's like, a REALLY big moment that happens in the game that kinda deconfirms "Clerith" even being possible.
Obviously I won't spoil anything, so I'll just say, If your favorite Harry Potter character is Snape, the final book might be a bit rough.
